Step by step. See The Event Schedule — Concept for what sessions and speakers are for.
- Switch the features on. In the adventure's settings, turn on Schedule under Features, and Speakers too if you want players to have a Speakers page. The Schedule then appears in your players' menu, and New Session and New Speaker appear under Add Mechanics in yours.
- Add your speakers first. Open Manage Content's Speakers tab and press New Speaker. Give the speaker a picture and a first and last name, and add a company, website, LinkedIn and a short bio if you have them. Connect to Player optionally links the speaker to a staff member's account, and fills in the name, picture, bio and links from that account's profile wherever the profile has them. Press Create Speaker. Add each person once and reuse them in every session and dialogue line they appear in.
- Create a session. Choose New Session and give it a title, a Session Start and a Session End (both required), a description, and a room under Room Information if it's in person.
- Tick its speakers. The Speakers list appears once the adventure has at least one.
- Link it and limit it, if you want to. Attach to Quest links a milestone or challenge, which players can then open from the session's details. Available for limits the session to one path or rank, and Guild limits it to one guild. Each of these appears only when the adventure has paths or guilds to pick from.
- Publish it. Leave the status on Publish (or Draft to keep it out of sight) and press Create Session. Repeat for every session.
- Check the Schedule. Sessions appear grouped by day; click one to open its details. As a GM you'll see an edit button on each session, and an Edit button inside its details.
Good to Know
- It's content, not mechanics. A session pays no XP or BLOO and gates nothing. If attendance should count, put a QR code in the room (see QR Codes).
- On the day itself, set Schedule to "Just today" under Time Mechanics in the adventure's settings, and players see only today's sessions. "Show all days" brings back the full calendar.
- A limited session is hidden from everyone outside it, staff included. To check a path- or guild-only session, look at the Schedule from an account that qualifies.
- To remove a session, open it, set its status to Trash and press Update Session.
- Renaming a speaker on the Speakers tab updates every dialogue line they speak. Trashing one stops them being offered for new lines, but the lines they already have keep their name and portrait.
