Announcements — Keeping an Adventure Alive Between Sessions

Posting to the Adventure Wall

Announcements post to a shared wall inside the Adventure — visible to everyone enrolled, independent of where any individual player currently is on the Journey Map. It's the one channel that reaches players who haven't logged in recently, the moment they come back.

What Belongs in an Announcement

Good candidates: a new Tabi or chapter just unlocked for everyone, a guild leaderboard shift worth calling out, a reminder that a deadline is approaching, a shout-out to a specific player's achievement. Anything that's genuinely relevant to the whole cohort, not a one-to-one message — that belongs elsewhere.

Keeping Momentum Between Sessions

Self-paced Adventures lose momentum fastest in the gap between live sessions or milestones. A short announcement timed to land a few days after a deadline, or right as a new chapter opens, does more for completion rates than almost any content change — it's a nudge, not a rebuild.

A Simple Cadence That Works

For a multi-week program: one announcement at kickoff, one at the midpoint calling out standings, and one heading into the final stretch. Add ad hoc ones for anything time-sensitive, but a predictable light cadence beats either silence or noise.
