Several pages in this manual reference the same fictional adventure so examples stay consistent instead of jumping between unrelated scenarios each time.
The Brief
Launch Week is a two-week new-hire onboarding Adventure for a mid-sized company: forty new hires across three departments, starting the same Monday, wrapped up with an in-person orientation day midway through Week One.
What It Uses
- Two Tabis — "Week One: Company Basics" and "Week Two: Department Deep-Dive"
- A mix of Milestones and two Challenges
- Choose Nickname, Dialogue, Video, Open Text, Upload Image, Multiple Choice and Branch Choice steps
- A three-tier Rank ladder (New Hire → Onboarded → Launch-Ready) and a small Item Shop
- Three department Guilds with a shared leaderboard
- A Branch Choice into Engineering / Sales / Operations tracks
- A QR-code checkpoint at the in-person orientation day
- Announcements at kickoff and at the Week Two handoff
The full build, in order, is documented in Worked Example — Building a Two-Week Onboarding Adventure End to End. Other pages in this manual reference Launch Week in passing to illustrate a specific feature in context.
